On July 30 and 31, the FGL Program Admissions Office held its event at Tohoku University's Open Campus with the Tohoku University Admissions Center. 24 high school students and their parents from Japan and abroad attended the two-day event.

FGL (Future Global Leadership) program is a curriculum classes in English for four years, and it offers three courses; IMAC-U (International Aerospace and Engineering/ School of Engineering) course, AMC (Advanced Molecular Chemistry/ Faculty of Science) course, and AMB (Applied Marine Biology/ Faculty of Agriculture) course.

At the event, in addition to presentations by FGL course instructors on course outlines, application procedures, and curriculum, etc.,  there were also sessions for current FGL students to give advice on preparing for entrance exams and answer questions about real campus life.

Some visitors commented, "It is very attractive to have a 4-year program to study mechanical engineering in English at Tohoku University, which has a world-class research environment, so it was a great opportunity to access information directly at the open campus," "It was good to hear real voices from current students," or "I was able to hear how close students and faculty are to each other and how supportive they are.”

It was delightful that we had visitors from far away places and we hope to have many more students studying in the FGL program in the near future.
