Tohoku University Global Learning Center conducted a two-week online student exchange program, TUJP, from December 5 to December 16, 2022, for the second semester of the 2022 academic year.
Six students from partner universities in China, Thailand, and Germany participated in this program, which was designed for students studying intermediate level Japanese, learning Japanese language and culture and engaging in exchange and co-curricular activities with Tohoku University students.
On December 16, a final presentation and completion ceremony was held in which participants gave presentations in Japanese. In a questionnaire for participants after the program, they commented that they were able to improve their Japanese language skills and that they would like to visit Sendai in the future.
In AY 2022, one online and one face-to-face program were held in the first semester, and a face-to-face program is scheduled for the second semester in March.
