The Online Apartment Information Seminar for International Students, held on December 8 (Wed.), 2021, was aimed at international students who will be leaving student housing and renting apartments for the first time.
It was conducted once in Japanese in the afternoon, and again in English in the evening. A total of 26 international students participated.
The seminar provided information on the apartment rental process and the Tohoku University CO-OP Real Estate Agency's apartment-finding service. Answers were also given to questions that students had submitted in advance.
The participants gave positive feedback on the event, which enabled them to learn what to be careful of when renting housing in Japan.
The International Exchange Support Office plans to hold similar seminars in the future.
