Online promotion events for the Future Global Leadership undergraduate courses (hereafter, FGL) were conducted in July and August 2020 for reputable high schools and organizations in Indonesia and Thailand, where many students apply for FGL every year. In each event an “FGL Student Ambassador,” who is a current FGL student, joined as a moderator, and also assisted the course explanation in the local language. A professor from each course explained details of the courses. This contrasts with previous on-site events, which were difficult for professors to attend. Furthermore, we re-acknowledged the advantage of online sessions in which the students' parents/guardians can participate easily and learn about FGL.

Participants in Indonesia
● Man Insan Cendekia Serpong schools of Indonesia on July 11 (Sat.)
● Wardaya College on August 19 (Wed.)

Man Insan Cendekia Serpong Schools of Indonesia organized the Study in Japan Fair and invited Tohoku University and APU. More than 150 people accessed the two-hour presentation by Tohoku University, which included a Q&A session with many questions. (Photo 1)

Wardaya College, which supports students who are keen to study abroad, is an educational institute located close to downtown of Jakarta. The college also kindly held a session particularly for Tohoku University and more than 250 participated even though it was on Wednesday evening. With the great help of Wardaya College providing a list of questions beforehand, we could fully use the time very effectively. (Photo 2)
