The FAST RETAILING* Foundation will start a new special scholarship program for talented high school students in Vietnam for enrolling in English degree programs at designated Japanese universities including Tohoku University. The call for applications is from August 1st to September 9th, 2022 for 2023 fall enrollment. No Japanese language skill is required at the application.

The maximum number of scholarship recipients is 10, and will cover almost all costs to study in Japan including the application, admission, and tuition fees. Please note that the annual support amount will vary depending on the enrolled university.

Applicants should meet 11 criteria, including the qualifications and requirements below.

・Applicants are residents and citizens of Vietnam for university admission in 2023 and are aged 19 or under.
・Applicants will enroll in any of the English degree programs at the Foundation designated universities in Japan including the FGL program in Tohoku University.

Minimum scores for some academic qualification tests are as follows:
　　⚫Language test: TOEFL iBT = ≥90 or IELTS = ≥7.0
　　⚫Academic test: SAT score = ≥1450 or ACT = ≥33 or IB = ≥40 (predicted score)

Selection Schedule
　　Application period: August 1 - September 9, 2022 (JST)
　　First interview: October 1 or 2 (JST) (in-person or online)
　　Final interview: October 21 (JST) (in-person or online)
　　Announcement of acceptance/rejection: not later than October 28 (JST)
