The new Tohoku University International Student Help Desk is opening in April 2019. It will be staffed by Tohoku University students who will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice. They will help international students adjust to Japan by providing assistance with everyday life, such as: summarizing Japanese notices etc. received by post, explaining ward office procedures, providing information on hospitals where English is spoken, giving directions to classrooms, offering information on international exchange events, and more.

The Help Desk will be located on the 2nd floor of the Kawauchi Kita Campus Education and Student Support Center. It will be open on weekdays from 10:30 to 17:00. No appointment is necessary and it is free, of course. Assistance is provided in Japanese, English, and any other languages the students on duty speak.

The Help Desk is open to all international students at Tohoku University. Please feel free to stop by.
