As part of the International Collaborative Learning Course (Global Career) in the Fall Semester of 2025, a total of 27 Tohoku University students (both international and domestic) and 30 students from the University of Sydney were divided into 9 groups. With support from the Tohoku University Co-op, each group engaged in multiple rounds of discussion to develop new onigiri (rice ball) menus tailored to students at Tohoku University.
The original onigiri created by these students will be available for purchase during a limited one-week period from Monday, November 17 to Friday, November 21, at the entrance of Kawauchi-no-Mori Dining on Kawauchi Campus.
Sales will begin at around 11:30 a.m. each day and will end once sold out.
Please come and try these unique rice balls, thoughtfully created through collaboration between international and domestic students!
