Global Learning Center is now inviting applicants for administrative assistant (AA) and Intercultural Collaborative Learning Supporter positions for FY 2022.

 

 

administrative assistant (AA) Intercultural Collaborative Learning Supporter(ICL-S)

Duties

  

(1)Work at the International Student Help Desk
(2)Perform ambassadorial tasks (e.g. assist foreign guests) 
(3)Assist international students (e.g. help incoming international students adjust to daily life)
(4)Help with short-term (e.g. summer) programs
(5)Help with symposiums and events (e.g. assist with international exchange events, data entry etc.)

(6)Perform other tasks, as requested by the GLC or Student Exchange Division

(1)Assist with teaching and learning activities in courses incorporating ICL activities
(2)Submit of articles to the ICL website 
(3)Assist with events such as ICL related training to be recruited from ICL-Ss for each event)
(4)Perform other tasks, as requested by the GLC
      
CompensationJPY 920-1080/hour, depending on enrollment classification
Qualifications

Students who are enrolled, or are scheduled to be enrolled by April 1, 2022, as degree students at this university and meet the following requirements are eligible:
(1)have some kind of overseas experience, or experience with international exchange
(2)have Japanese and English language skills sufficient for everyday conversation
(3)are able to perform basic office tasks with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
(4)feel responsible for their work while employed
(5)able to work at least until March 2023

Students who are enrolled, or are scheduled to be enrolled by April 1, 2022, as degree students at this university and meet the following requirements are eligible:
(1)have Japanese and English language skills sufficient for everyday conversation.
(2) have gained an understanding of the significance of ICL, e.g. such as by taking an ICL seminar, and have experience of making active use of the learning environment L, e.g. by taking ICL seminars and making active use of the learning environment
(3) be able to work smoothly with the course teacher in planning and managing the course
(4) be able to carry out collaborative work between ICL-S members
(5) be able to work until March 2023 (Semi-annual appointments available on consultation)
