
ICL Supporter
Tohoku University offers many classes in its General Education curriculum that incorporate Intercultural Collaborative Learning (ICL). Learning in these ICL classes is facilitated by both instructors and students. ICL Support Staff are students who have already taken ICL classes and now assist with multicultural cooperative learning.
Role of ICL Support Staff
The role of ICL Support Staff is to act as a link between the students and instructors. Their most important duty is facilitating group learning. Therefore, if necessary they also advise students in the class.
In addition, they assist the instructor with the preparation and management of the learning environment, i.e. the classroom.

As a member of the ICL Support Staff, you can expect to improve the following skills.

ICL Support Staff Recruitment & Selection Process
ICL Support Staff recruitment is generally conducted once a year. Each year, recruitment is conducted for the following year.
Recruitment Period: December-January
Details will be posted on the Global Learning Center website during the recruitment period.
Selection: January-February
1st Stage Screening: Document-based
2nd Stage Screening: Interview
Announcement of Results: February
Training: March
In-person training is mandatory.
