\r\nTohoku University has a lot of excellent STEM students, such as winners<\/span>
\r\nof the Science Olympics, from across the globe! However, interactions<\/span>
\r\namong the STEM students are unfortunately not active due to a heavy load<\/span>
\r\nof classes and laboratory works. In order to enhance interactions in the<\/span>
\r\nSTEM student community, we have established an international exchange<\/span>
\r\norganization, TUSTEM (Tohoku University STEM Student Network).<\/span>

\r\n-TUSTEM Lounge [Every Tuesday 17:30-19:30 in Aobayama Commons (New<\/span>
\r\nAobayama Campus)] with monthly alternating activities!<\/span>

\r\n\r\n-Academic Dinner \/ Journal Club [held irregularly in place of TUSTEM<\/span>
\r\nLounge - same place & time] Present your research in English under<\/span>
\r\ncasual atmosphere, in very easy terms<\/span>

\r\n\r\n-Weekend Activity [Make friends in a more casual & fun social<\/span>

\r\n[Job Description of TUSTEM Leader]<\/b> (AA position*)<\/span>
\r\n-Assisting STEM exchange programs of the university, such as<\/span>
\r\nSupporting the summer STEM exchange programs (TSSP, T-SRIP),<\/span>
\r\nassisting final presentation sessions of long term exchange programs<\/span>
\r\n(COLABS, JYPE), etc..<\/span>
\r\n
\r\n\r\n- Organizing and participating TUSTEM activities\/events<\/span>
\r\nThe activities\/events aim to promote interactions among the STEM<\/span>
\r\nundergraduate,graduate students of the university.<\/span>
\r\n
\r\n\r\n[Requirements for TUSTEM Leader]<\/b><\/span>
\r\nNo specific skill is required to become a TUSTEM leader. However, you<\/span>
\r\nmust have a motivation to the job. For example, attending meetings and<\/span>

*AA position: A TUSTEM leader will be employed as an Administrative\r\nAssistant (AA) of Tohoku University, which is an official hiring\r\nposition at the university like TA or RA. In general, when you help\r\nwith any activities\/events organized by the university or GLC, you\r\nwill be paid for the time you spend helping out at an hourly rate. For\r\nother activities\/ events above, you may also be paid if they are\r\napproved as paid jobs.<\/p><\/span>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
