The Global Learning Center (GLC) hosted five in-person Tohoku University Japanese Programs\r\n(TUJPs)\u2014short-term student exchange programs\u2014between May and July 2026.<\/p>\r\n

\u25cf TUJP Baylor (May 21 \u2013 May 31, 2026): Welcomed 7 participants from Baylor University, our\r\npartner institution in the United States.<\/p>\r\n

\u25cf TUJP Summer 1 (June 10 \u2013 June 25, 2026): Welcomed 34 participants from partner universities\r\nlocated in Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, and\r\nRussia.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n
\u25cf TUJP UNCC (June 10 \u2013 June 25, 2026): Welcomed 10 participants from the University of North\r\nCarolina at Charlotte, our partner institution in the United States.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n
\u25cf TUJP Sydney (June 22 \u2013 July 9, 2026): Welcomed 59 participants from the University of\r\nSydney, our partner institution in Australia.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n
\u25cf TUJP Summer 2 (July 1 \u2013 July 28, 2026): Welcomed 73 participants from partner institutions\r\nand other organizations located in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States, Indonesia,\r\nGermany, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Thailand, Finland, Sweden, and\r\nRussia.<\/p>\r\n

Through participating in diverse programs such as Japanese language classes, Japanese culture\r\nworkshops, and field trips, as well as interacting with both domestic and international students at Tohoku\r\nUniversity, the participants expanded their opportunities to use practical Japanese and deepened their\r\nunderstanding of Japanese culture.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

Preparations are currently underway to hold three TUJP programs from December 2026 to January 2027.<\/p>\r\n
