Duties<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/th>\r\n

  1. \uff081\uff09 Work at the International Student Help Desk
    \r\n\uff082\uff09 Perform ambassadorial tasks (e.g. assist foreign guests)
    \r\n\uff083\uff09 Assist international students (e.g. help incoming international students adjust to daily life)
    \r\n\uff084\uff09 Help with short-term (e.g. summer) programs
    \r\n\uff085\uff09 Help with symposiums and events (e.g. assist with international exchange events, data entry etc.)
    \r\n\uff086\uff09 Intercultural Collaborative Learning Supporter duties (for details of activities, please refer to the
    \r\nconcurrently recruited ICLS Application Guidelines) *Relevant applicants only. Your preference will
    \r\nbe asked during the screening, and you will be assigned to assist with a specific subject.
    \r\n\uff087\uff09 Attend monthly meetings in-person on Kawauchi Campus
    \r\n\uff088\uff09Perform other tasks, as requested by the GLC or Student Exchange Division<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/td>\r\n
(1) Assist with teaching and learning activities in courses incorporating ICL activities. ICLS are
\r\nassigned to each course to work with and under the supervision of the lecturers.<\/span>
\r\n(2) Participation and contribution to regular ICLS meetings (two or three times per half year).<\/span>
\r\n(3) Submit of articles to the ICL website and other publicity activities<\/span>
\r\n(4) Assist with events such as ICL related training (to be recruited from ICL-Ss for each event)<\/span>
\r\n(5) GLC AA duties. *Only available on request. Relevant applicants only. Your preference will
\r\nbe asked during the screening. For details of GLC AA activities, please refer to the
\r\nconcurrently recruited GLC AA Application Guidelines.<\/span>
\r\n(6) Perform other tasks, as requested by the GLC and Student Exchange Division.<\/span>

Compensation<\/span><\/th>\r\nJPY 940-1,100\/hour, depending on enrollment classification (Rate of pay as of AY 2023)<\/span><\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Qualifications<\/th>\r\n\r\n

Students who are enrolled, or are scheduled to be enrolled by April 1, 2022, as degree students at this university
\r\nand meet the following requirements are eligible (however, (6) applies to the relevant applicants only):
\r\n(1) have some kind of overseas experience, or experience with international exchange
\r\n(2) have Japanese and English language skills sufficient for everyday conversation
\r\n(Non-native English speakers should have a TOEFL\u00ae iBT score of 70 or higher, ITP score of 520 or higher,
\r\nor TOEIC\u00ae score of 700 or higher. Non-native Japanese speakers should have completed the Institute for
\r\nExcellence in Higher Education's Japanese Language Education Program Level 4 (N3) or higher.)
\r\n(3) feel responsible for their work while employed
\r\n(4) able to work at least until March 2025
\r\n(5) able to take charge at least once a month (those applying for (1) under \"4. Duties\" below).<\/p>\r\n

Students who are enrolled by April 2023 as degree students at Tohoku University and meet the following requirements are eligible:<\/span>
\r\n(1) have Japanese and English language skills sufficient for everyday conversation. (Non-native English speakers should have a TOEFL\u00ae iBT score of 70 or higher, ITP score of 520 or higher, or TOEIC\u00ae score of 700 or higher. Non-native Japanese speakers should have completed the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education's Japanese Language Education Program Level 4 (N3) or higher.)<\/span>
\r\n(2) have gained an understanding of the significance of ICL, e.g. such as by taking an ICL seminar, and have experience of making active use of the learning environment L, e.g. by taking ICL seminars and making active use of the learning environment<\/span>
\r\n(3) be able to work smoothly with the course teacher in planning and managing the course<\/span>
\r\n(4) be able to carry out collaborative work between ICL-S members<\/span>
\r\n(5) be able to work until March 2025 (Semi-annual appointments available on consultation)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
