{"id":48568,"date":"2021-05-31T12:25:42","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T03:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"\/english\/?p=48568"},"modified":"2023-02-17T17:55:48","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T08:55:48","slug":"report-the-second-phase-of-the-online-tujp-in-ay-2021-has-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/english\/activity\/48568\/","title":{"rendered":"[Report] The second phase of the Online TUJP in AY 2021 has started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On May 27th, 2021, the Global Learning Center (GLC) at Tohoku University started the second phase of the Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) Online for the 2021 Academic Year.<\/span><\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second phase of TUJP targets Japanese language students with intermediate or higher proficiency. The program has courses on practical Japanese language for future study abroad in Japan, Japanese society and culture, and interaction with Tohoku University students. It also introduces them to the graduate schools.<\/span><\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program term is three weeks long, finishing on June 16th, and has eight students from Singapore, China, Taiwan, France, Italy, and Malaysia. One participant was an exchange student in AY 2019. The student describes his motivation as improving his Japanese skill.<\/span><\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the orientation on the first day, the students went through self-introductions, guidance on studying, and the buddy system supported by Tohoku University students.
