{"id":44128,"date":"2020-11-27T11:05:56","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T02:05:56","guid":{"rendered":"\/english\/?p=44128"},"modified":"2023-02-17T17:55:50","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T08:55:50","slug":"%e3%80%90report%e3%80%91sanko-project-online-scientific-exchanges-between-tu-and-sanko-students-in-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/english\/activity\/44128\/","title":{"rendered":"[Report] \u201cSANKO Project: Online scientific exchanges between TU and Sanko students in English\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\r\nSince 2017, Tohoku University Global Learning Center has been implementing the \u201cSANKO Project\u201d in collaboration with Miyagi Prefecture Sendai Daisan High School (hereby \u201cSanko\u201d), which is one of the SSHs (Super Science High Schools) in Japan. In this project, the second-grade students in Sanko STEM-specialized classes prepare English presentations on their research topics, and TU international students give feedback in English as senior researchers. Until last year, TU students visited Sanko to give guidance face-to-face, but this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, seven feedback sessions were held online instead.\r\n <br>\r\n <br>\r\nAt \u201cSanko Investigation Day (GLOCAL Science Festa)\u201d that was held on November 7 (Sat), the students conducted presentations in a hybrid format. Students from Sanko participated in the event offline, and simultaneously guests from outside, such as the TU students, assistant language teachers (ALT), and Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) in Miyagi prefecture participated as online audience. The students from Sanko expressed much gratitude for the support and efforts of TU students.
