Decision for Spring 2022 Exchange Programs (JYPE/COLABS/DEEP/IPLA)

Here are the details of our decision in accordance with the exchange program you have been accepted.
JYPE/COLABS/DEEP
Continuing Students from the Fall 2021 Semester:
- They will come to Japan and participate in the program onsite as soon as possible. Some students may have to start the semester online, then fly to Japan when it's possible in the middle of the semester while others may be able to fly to Japan in time before the semester starts. Students will be informed of the details along the process.
New Students who are participating in the Spring 2022 Semester only:
They will participate in the program online throughout the semester. This decision has been made after careful consideration and will not change even if the travel restrictions are lifted. One of the main reasons why they are not allowed to enter Japan in the middle of the semester is/was the uncertainty of the upcoming schedule of the new travel restrictions; students may not be able to complete either the courses of the exchange program or courses of their home university, which might cause them losing the whole semester if they cannot make their study plan without knowing for how long they need to wait for their turn to enter Japan during the semester. We appreciate your understanding of this difficult decision.

We will make a decision based on the entry policy of the Japanese Government.
