| Background | This organization was founded to foster exchange between the major Pacific Rim universities, and to cooperate in the areas of education and research in the interest of solving the critical problems facing Pacific Rim societies. Participating Japanese universities are Keio University, Kyoto University, Osaka University, Tohoku University, University of Tokyo and Waseda University. |
This association was formed to provide a forum for the presidents of leading research-oriented universities in East Asia and to carry out close mutual exchanges of instructors and students between participating universities. Participating Japanese universities are Kyoto University, Osaka University, Tohoku University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Tokyo and University of Tsukuba. |
This program was established to promote exchange between European universities of science and technology through Master's level double degree programs, and to foster top-level engineers. In addition to its European members, Sao Paolo University in Brazil, and Keio University and Tohoku University in Japan participate. |
