A seminar, titled "Renting Apartments for Beginners," was held in the lobby of Tohoku University International House Sanjo 1 on July 21 (Thu), 2016.
The seminar was aimed at international students who will be moving out of their dorms this fall and renting an apartment in Japan for the first time. It was conducted in English, and covered how to look for apartments and what to be careful of on lease agreements.
The seminar was help with cooperation from the Tohoku University Co-op. The explanations and Q&A session were conducted in a friendly, homey atmosphere.
The International Support Office plans to hold similar seminars twice each year from now on.
