The 7th Japan-Russia University Fair in Vladivostok (March 27-28, 2014)

  • March 27- at Far Eastern Federal University, March 28 – at Hyundai Hotel.
  • Participants - Tohoku University, Hokkaido University, University of Tsukuba, Chiba University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Soka University and Meiji University.
  • Visitors – more than 300 students, their parents and teachers

The 6th Japan-Russia University Fair in Moscow (Octorber 10, 2013)

  • at Institute of Asian and African States of Moscow State University.
  • Participants - Tohoku University, Hokkaido University, University of Tsukuba, Chiba University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Niigata University, Kyoto University, Tokushima University, Soka University and Meiji University.
  • Visitors - about 100 students

The 5th Japan-Russia University Fair in Novosibirsk (Octorber 8, 2013)

  • at Novosibirsk State University.
  • Participants - Tohoku University, Hokkaido University, Chiba University, Tokushima University and Meiji University.
  • Visitors - more than 300 students and their parents

The 4th Japan-Russia University Fair was held in Vladivostok(March 15, 2013)

March 15, 2013 The 4th Japan-Russia University Fair was held at the Far Eastern Federal University Research Library as part of the MEXT “Global 30” project.

A total of 11 universities and organizations have participated and presented their booths on the Fair: Tohoku University, Hokkaido University, Akita University, University of Tsukuba, Chiba University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Kyoto University, University of Aizu, Meiji University, JASSO and Far Eastern Federal University. At the Fair, visitors (focused mostly on students and young researchers) could get information about the higher education system in Japan, education programs, research activities and admission procedures in the participating universities.

At the opening ceremony, opening remarks were given by Tohoku University Executive Vice President Ueki Toshiya, Vice-Rector for International Relations Alexey Starichkov and Deputy of Consul General of Japan in Vladivostok Sunahara Tatsuo. More than 340 visitors came to the Fair, and they had the opportunity to inform themselves of the effective information materials.

The 4th Japan-Russia University Fair will take place in Vladivostok (March 15, 2013)

The 4th Japan-Russia University Fair is planned to take place on March 15, 2013 (10.00-16.00) at the Far Eastern Federal University Research Library (Admission free).

Tohoku University / Akita University / Hokkaido University / University of Aizu  University of Tsukuba / Tokyo University of Foreign Studies / Chiba University  Kyoto University / Meiji University

The 3rd Japan-Russia University Fair was held in Moscow(December 10, 2012)

As part of the MEXT “Global 30” project, The 3rd Japan-Russia University Fair was held by Tohoku University on December 10, 2012 at the Moscow State University Japan Center.

At the information meeting, opening remarks were given by the Head of Japan Center Kurosaka Shoichi and Tohoku University Executive Vice President Ueki Toshiya.Six Japanese universities, including Tohoku University, presented their booths, where during the Fair undergraduate and graduate students of Moscow State University could get explanations about the characteristics of higher education system in Japan and study abroad programs for foreign students.

Furthermore, The 4th Japan-Russia University Fair is planned to hold next year's spring at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.

Tohoku University has established the Japanese Inter-University Russia Office at the Moscow State University as part of the MEXT “Global 30” project to promote exchanges between Japanese and Russian universities.

The 3rd Japan-Russia University Fair will take place on October 10, 2012, 10:00-15:30 at the Japan Center of Moscow State University. (Admission free)

Students and researches who are interested in studying in Japan are more than welcome!

The 2nd Japan-Russia University Fair was held in Novosibirsk(November 13-14, 2012)

As part of the MEXT “Global 30” project, the 2nd Japan-Russia University Fair was held on November 13, 2012 at the Novosibirsk State University and on November 14 at the Municipal Cultural Center "Siberia-Hokkaido".

As well as Tohoku University, Akita University, University of Tsukuba and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies took part in the Fair which had more than 300 visitors during two days of work.

Head of the Office of Russian-Japanese relations Kijima Akihiro, Special Advisor to the President Yamaguchi Masahiro and other professors and officers of Tohoku University participated in the Fair where they were explaining to visitors the characteristics of the higher education system in Japan as well as study abroad programs for foreign students.

The Japan-Russia University Fair is planned to hold in December at the Moscow State University and next year's spring at the Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok).

Tohoku University has established the Tohoku University Russia Office Siberia Branch at the Russian Academy of Sciences Siberian Branch (SB-RAS) as part of the MEXT “Global 30” project to promote exchanges between Japanese and Russian universities.

The 1st Japan-Russia University Fair will take place in Moscow (December 8, 2011)

As part of the MEXT “Global 30” project, the 1st Japan-Russia University Fair was held by Tohoku University at the Japan Center of Moscow State University to promote exchange between Japanese and Russian universities.

A total of 14 universities and organizations have participated and presented their booths on the Fair: Tohoku University, Hokkaido University, University of Tsukuba, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Hiroshima University, Kyushu University, Soka University, Meiji University, Doshisha University (brochures only), Tohoku Foreign Language & Tourism College, JASSO, Moscow State University and Higher School of Economics. At the Fair, visitors could get information (focused mostly on students and young researchers) about the system of higher education in Japan, detailed information on education, research and admission procedures in the participating universities.

At the opening ceremony, opening remarks were given by Tohoku University Associate Executive Vice President Kijima Akihiro (Head of the Office of Russian-Japanese Relations), Irina Maloglazova, representative of the Center for International Education of Moscow State University, HSE School of Asian Studies Japanese language professor Boborykind Ekaterina, the Head of Japan Center Kurosaka Shoichi and Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Russia Ishize Motoyuki.

More than 100 visitors came to the Fair where they had the opportunity not only to acquaint themselves with the information materials, but also to communicate directly with representatives of the Japanese universities.

On account of Japan-Russia University Fair, we are expecting further progress of exchange in education and research.
