EXCHANGE GROUPS
In Sendai, there are dozens of international exchange groups.
The ones listed below aim for international exchange between non-Japanese
and Japanese members. If you want more information please ask

I.V. NETWORK---"I.V."
means international volunteers. Their activities are directed
towards international exchange and understanding. They have the
following six sections.
*Home Hospitality: Accepting foreign
guests for home visits or homestays
*Interpreters and Guides: Assistannt
interpreters to aid communication
*Cultural Exchange: Introduction
of Japanese and foreign cultures
*Counseling and Support: Advice and
counseling for foreign residents at Sendai International Center
International Exchange and Information Area (Koryu Corner). Also
bazaars for overseas students.
*Information: Editing and publication
of"Kokobo" .
*Sister City Activities: Planning

DAMAYAN
Group of Filipina wives of Japanese nationals. They promote mutual
friendship, study Japanese culture and introduce Philippine culture

A group of people from Latin America. They hold parties and festivals.

Islamic Cultural Center Sendai
Always available for the Friday(p.m.12:20〜) and other prayers,
information exchange and contacts for Muslims. International cultural
exchange with Japanese citizens ＆ Library on Islam. You can buy
